A new accreditation report released this past week by the Campbell County School District has turned into a positive for educators and school officials. The school district was the first in Wyoming to undergo an accreditation review since the state and AdvancED dramatically changed their approach to grading progress.

Yesterday
JUSTIN R. YODER, 34, 308 E. Redwood, pleaded no contest Dec. 11 to two counts of interference with a peace officer and to attempting to commit a misdemeanor, all stemming from a March 14 case. Circuit Judge Wendy M. Bartlett sentenced him to 365 days in jail and fined him $780.

A 19-year-old Gillette man has pleaded not guilty in District Court to two counts of first-degree sexual assault. Tate Fredrick Pikula is accused of raping a woman May 27 after she fell asleep on his bed, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in the case.

Jamieson Douglas Scarff, 30, reportedly strangled a woman until she was unconscious, physically assaulted her and held an 11-month-old baby while preventing the woman from leaving their hotel room. Besides kidnapping and aggravated assault, Scarff is charged with several firearm violations.
