Authorities say a 61-year-old Wyoming man was killed earlier this month when a tree fell on him in western Montana. Records released by the Powell County coroner's office identify Berwyn Conroy, of Gillette, Wyoming, as the victim.

A 20-year-old Gillette man has pleaded no contest to second-degree sexual assault after he allegedly took LSD tabs and attacked a woman who was sleeping. The pleas were part of a plea agreement in which prosecutors reduced the charges from first-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment.

A couple of business owners in the Interstate Industrial Park have taken issue with the city of Gillette in recent weeks after the city agreed to move forward on a $2 million water improvement project in the area.
