As the father of an 8-year-old boy, most of my disposable income is tied up in little plastic bricks. In my house, you’ll find thousands of them in bins, several elaborate sets on display, and a distressing number of the (razor-sharp) things underfoot. I’m not complaining, really. I have as much fun building with them [...] The post 11 Content Marketing Tips to Build Your B2B Business appeared first on Online Marketing Blog - TopRank®.

Because short-tail keywords have such broad search intents, it's in the search...

Again and again, the concept that "SEO is too hard to stay on top of... it’s always changing" was being stated as a major reason that people feel a)...

by Jayson DeMers Nonprofit organizations need to raise awareness of their brands just like ordinary corporations, but they face unique challenges in the marketing world. For example, nonprofits rely on donations to keep their organizations alive, and that often creates a catch-22: relying on donations limits the budget, which means you'll have less available to fund your marketing strategies, but without marketing strategies in place, you'll have a harder time getting those donations.It...

In the old, pre-Penguin days of search engine optimization, syndicated press releases were a popular method of link-building. Businesses would wait for something newsworthy, put together a release, and distribute it via services like PR Web. Now, Google has explicitly stated that press release links will not help rankings. Almost any syndicated press release comes […] The post Are Press Releases Still Good for SEO? appeared first on Keyword Performance, LLC..

by Jayson DeMers Link building has always been an important part of search engine optimization; links indicate authority, which in turn dictates how sites can rank in SERPs for relevant keyword terms. The Penguin update, which was originally released in 2012, overhauled how optimizers viewed link quality, and subsequent iterations of Penguin helped to shape the "Penguin era," demanding intelligent, relevant link building instead of link spam and forcing optimizers to reevaluate their...

Recently rank checker started hanging on some search queries & the button on the SEO Toolbar which launched rank checker stopped working. Both of these issues should now be fixed if you update your Firefox extensions. If ever the toolbar button doesn't work one can enable the Menu bar in Firefox, then go under the tools menu to the rank checker section to open it. Years ago we created a new logo for rank checker which we finally got around to changing it today. :) Categories: seo tools

Last August I wrote a blog post about how attention merchants were sucking the value out of online publishing. In it I noted how the Yahoo! Directory disappeared & how even DMOZ saw a sharp drop in traffic & rankings over the past few years. The concept of a neutral web is dead. In its place is agenda-driven media. Politically charged misinformed snippets. Ads cloaked as content. Public relations propaganda. Mostly correct (but politically insensitive) articles being "fact checked" where a...
